About the Ship
Since the ancient times God was sending messages to a man by WIND, implanting the unrest. That unrest gave a birth to DREAMS. Only CHOSEN ones were able to recognize it and dedicate their lives, so they can get a possibility of their own realization and fulfillment.
SHIPS are materialization of the human SPIRIT and realization of the DREAMS.
The dream began on Maasai coast of Africa about three thousand years ago, spreading over Indian Ocean and Mediterranean. Inspired by that dream and brought by the wind, passion and unrest of a man made a BOAT. It will connect Africa, Europe and Asia with winds caught in a triangular sail making and exchanging dreams.
Our DREAM and the urge to remember marrow also materialized and made SHIP. The one with witch we want to refurbish the lesson of the SPIRIT and the existence.
The wooden craft, named SUR (a merchant city in the Arabian Peninsula), is specially constructed as a modern Dhow (traditional Arab sailing vessel used along the coast of the Arabian Peninsula, India and East Africa). |
AROUND THE WORLD
Route of the first two years of the Expedition
First stage of expedition takes place in July of 2008 on the coasts and islands of south part of Africa and Indian Ocean: Coast of Tanzania, Islands Zanzibar, Pemba, Comoro, Moroni, Madagascar, Archipelago of Mauritius and Seashells. Then coming back to African coast up to Arabian Peninsula, Yemen, and Red Sea throughout Suets Canal into Mediterranean.
Length of sojourn is eight months.
